ABOUT ME ~ BIOgraphy
Jeffrey Sewell was born in 1999 to a loving, supportive family on the South Shore of Massachusetts. As a toddler, he found himself captivated by Judy Garland while watching The Wizard of Oz, among other beloved movie musicals, and before long found himself singing along. His folks and family took notice of his natural talent, and it was after numerous performances with overwhelming responses and getting cast in his first professional production that it became a lifelong journey for Jeffrey to pursue excellence in his craft and to follow his passion and dreams.
Jeffrey made his professional stage debut as Chip in Beauty and the Beast with the Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University. As his theatrical resume grew and grew, Jeffrey has received accolades for his work; chief among them are two nominations for Most Promising Performance from the Independent Reviewers of New England for his work in the Fiddlehead Theatre Company’s production of Oliver! in 2009 and in The Phantom Tollbooth for Wheelock in 2011. Jeffrey received four acting awards from the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild, three for his performance as Father Jacques in Ionesco’s “The Future is in Eggs” which won the METG Drama Festival State Championship his senior year. Jeffrey's YouTube Channel has garnered the attention of Broadway veterans and presented him the opportunity to perform on Seth Rudetsky's Radio Show on SiriusXM, and popular NYC Nightclub "Joe's Pub". He has recently performed at NYC's Feinstein's 54 Below, as well as The West End Lounge.
Since graduating high school, and throughout the pandemic, Jeffrey continues to hone his craft with vocal training and expects to continue honing his craft at Circle in the Square Theatre School this upcoming fall in New York City.
He has recently self-released a Holiday EP; "An Iconic Christmas With Jeffrey Sewell" which is currently available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and can be purchased on iTunes/Amazon Music. His passions do not, however, stop with performance; Jeffrey is also developing his skills as a writer, and he hopes to broaden his passion for storytelling by turning his many creative ideas into scripts.
Whether from singing, acting, directing, writing dialogue, music and lyrics, it is his aim to perfect all of these gifts in order that he may reach his creative potential in the industry in whichever medium he finds himself. Along with many other performers, it is his most fervent hope that he will be able to go back to in-person classes and more intensive training as soon as it is safe to do so and, of course, to make a triumphant return to the stage.
Other than his many creative pursuits, in his free time Jeffrey loves to read and practice spirituality, watch TV, excercise, and to listen to Whitney Houston.
